My Top 100 Favourite Music Videos: #68

#68: "Smack My Bitch Up" - The Prodigy
Release Date: 1997
Director: Jonas Akerlund
Fun Fact: Despite being heavily banned and very little airplay due to the nature of the lyrics and the video content, the song did very well, getting to #8 in the UK charts and was nominated for 4 MTV Music Video Awards!
This is probably the most controversial video on my list. But if you've seen the video, and understand the message behind the video, then you must agree that this is one of the best music videos of all time.

Of course, if you haven't seen the video before, then be warned of lots of drugs, violence, nudity and general graphic content.

But the video is just brilliant, just for the message alone. All the way through the video, with the main character doing all of these horrible things; snorting cocaine, groping women, beating up men, vomiting, throwing men out of toilets, taking heroin, and much more, we all assume that the main character is a man. The truth? It was a woman all along. It really opens up your eyes to the perception of events, and shows you that women can be just as bad as men when it comes to bad behaviour. It's just an incredible video that has to be seen... just make sure you're old enough to watch it!

The only problem with the video? How on earth do you eat a kebab at the start of a night out?!

Here's the video for your enjoyment!
